Going, Going, Gone!!!

You have until August 29th to catch the current exhibition entitled ‘Going, Going, Gone!!!’ at Mount Evelyn Exhibition Space. It features art from three very talented woman; Leonie Williams, Merran Berry, and Mira Robinson.

Leonie Williams brings to life art depicting creatures and objects from fantasy, myth, and legend, focussing on those that are endangered, rare, or no longer around. Along with that she also creates colourful Mandalas. Leonie’s beautiful selection of jewellery is for sale, and is made from metal, glass, and pearls (all finite treasure from the earth).

Mira Robinson’s artwork portrays endangered species and the effect that our actions have on planet earth. She has worked as a textile designer and her designs have been printed in Germany, Australia, Japan, and Switzerland. She is presently involved in voluntary classes in art therapy and the cover design and layout for an Indian magazine.

Merran Berry is best known for her fantasy art. She has conducted classes in the techniques of acrylic painting, the art of collage, and has held many one-day workshops. She is currently a member of the Management Committee of Waverley Arts Society and often produces articles for ‘Kaleidoscope’, the WAS monthly magazine.

These pieces of artwork go spectacularly well together and reflect the women’s creativity, spirituality, and their collective values of the worth of preserving our world.
