Community Link

The Community Link has received some good news.
Community Development Minister, Peter Batchelor, recently released details of grants under the Public Internet Access Program (PIAP) and the Link has been a recipient. The sum of $5000 has been allocated to the Link and the grant will be spent on purchasing a new computer for public Internet use. This will enable more people to go online and develop their Internet knowledge and skills.

Do you have problems with graffiti?
The Shire of Yarra Ranges has produced a range of printed material including a Graffiti Fact Sheet and information about new graffiti laws. The Fact Sheet lists a range of current council initiatives to deal with graffiti. To assist in removing graffiti from your property, the Shire is also providing free graffiti removal kits and paint. Drop in to the Link to pick up your graffiti removal kit and help to keep our community graffiti free.

The proposed plans for the upgrades of the Mt Evelyn Reserve and Morrison Reserve are currently on display at the Link.
A public meeting will be held at the Link between 10am and 12 noon on Saturday March 14th for all interested people to voice their views on the draft plans. Councillor Tim Heenan will be at the Link to discuss the plans with you.
